iRPGUnit brings xUnit style unit tests to ILE RPG and, experimentally, to COBOL on IBM i. A test suite is a service program, a test case is a procedure, and assertions such as assertEqual() check the results.
The RDi plug-in runs test suites and single test cases right from the Remote Systems view and shows the results in its own view. The library RPGUNIT is installed on the IBM i from the save file of the release.
iRPGUnit is a fork of RPGUnit, the library that Lacton started in 2006 and Cyril Clemenceau continued. Mihael Schmidt added the interface to RDi and started the plug-in. I took over the project and have widely extended it; today Mihael and I maintain it together.
